Raytracing

Raytracing is a technique for drawing 3-dimensional computer graphics by simulating the path of light waves. By simulating an individual ray of light for each pixel of the image, realistic 3D graphics can be created. The images below were all created using POV-Ray for Windows 3.1g, a free raytracer available from www.povray.org.

FutureCity FutureCity

FutureCity is a single frame from a futuristic, aerial fly-by animation. The buildings are constructed using a single building macro, by varying the dimensions and textures to create individual buildings. The source code contains an INI file for generating a 300-frame animation.
